Environmental Policy
We recognise the requirement to carry out our activities in an environmentally sound and responsible manner and are committed to pollution prevention.
We make an informed choice when purchasing raw materials and also with respect to forms of energy, products and processes. Our aim is to ensure that all procedures are carried out in such a way as to minimise the environmental impact at both local and global levels.
We ensure that all staff are adequately trained to operate the required processes and handle products in an environmentally responsible manner.
We will investigate and report on all environmental complaints/incidents in an efficient and responsible manner and take action to prevent reoccurrence.
South East Labels will ensure that when new production processes, products or business activities are planned, the likely environmental impact will be examined.
Our product packaging has been limited to what is absolutely necessary to keep the finished product clean and secure during transportation until it is used by the customer. We are committed to the elimination of unnecessary packaging, where applicable, and to the reduction of manufacturing waste and emissions through: equipment advances, process changes, employee training.
Where possible, communication with customers and suppliers takes place electronically by internet, email and phone, thus reducing fuel and paper costs.
Compliance with current legislation is considered as a minimum prerequisite.
We will work in conjunction with raw material suppliers to promote the use of sustainable resources and recycled materials.
As a manufacturing company we buy in materials and finished products from a variety of suppliers These are themselves variously accredited with their industry standards. Several of these documents are are available on request.
