OKI
Innovation in label printing
OKI have introduced the Pro 1040 and 1050 tabletop LED label printers. Using the OKI LED toner technology, they produce inks that are extremely robust and are excellent over a wide range of extremes. These include water-resistance, alcohol and chemical resistance, along with scratch an UV resistance. In combination their high resolution in true 1,200dpi, they offer a very high quality, vibrant print with the added durability to suit your use.
The Oki Pro 1040 and 1050 are designed to bring full professional on-demand print in-house, giving you more control over the labels you print.
OKI offer two options with the 1040 and the 1050. Both printers print with 4 colours (CMYK), but the 1050 adds white as a 5th colour. The benefit of using white is for the use of clear labels. When printing onto clear labels, the print can appear transparent. What the 1050 does is print a white layer before printing your colour print on top. This means that you can print full colour labels onto clear labels, allowing you to have a transparent label with high quality opaque print. Perfect for labelling bottles and items where you want your product to take centre stage.
The OKI LED print technology offers large benefits over standard Inkjet label printing.
Inkjet printers require specialist inkjet coated materials, which can be costly as well as limited to fewer options. Using LED printing, the inks adhere to a much larger range of materials, from standard paper up to ultra-durables such as polyesters. Being able to print on a wide range of material also opens the doors to a much larger selection of adhesives beyond standard permanent or peel. This includes book/super peelable for non-residue peeling, blockout permanent for opaque labelling over images or text, high-tack and freezer grade for a more aggressive approach as well as security items such as "VOID" when removed labels.
We manufacture labels for the OKI printers and have fully tested a wide range of materials and are adding to an ever-growing list of options.
